sketch of artist Heather Holbrook working in her studio with her dog

A bit of background.

I used to call my business Heather Holbrook Art+Design which worked fine, because that’s exactly what I do, but when I started creating my quirky greeting cards, it seemed a little… meh! Rebel Hen Studio just feels more fun, more me and has room for everything I do!

I’ve been an illustrator and a designer for a long time. Lately, I’ve been thinking “What do I want to do now? What new things do I want to try?” Well, I want to create more online classes, develop my writing, explore my own voice, experiment, make stuff that can be silly and sometimes provocative. Rebel Hen Studio will be home to all these possibilities!
As a graphic designer, I create everything from logos and identity packages to branded presentations, displays, posters, banners, brochures, books, bus shelters, billboards, even bus and car wraps!
My illustrations are done in either chalk pastel or ink line and digital mixed media and have been commissioned for product packaging, advertising campaigns, book and magazine publications here in Canada and internationally.

My illustrations have been commissioned for: Beatrice Foods, Sobeys, Nabisco, Second Cup, British Airways, Rogers Media, LCBO, Delta Hotels, American Express, TD Canada Trust, Royal Bank, CIBC, Unilever Canada, Readers Digest Books, Harper Collins Publishing & Harlequin Enterprises.

Graphic design clients include Diezel Marketing Studio, The Mortgage Coach, Feast Your Eyes Catering + Events, House Coach, Edge3, Ryan Design, Colony Park Homes, Westbury National, Bomar Textiles Inc.
