Heather Holbrook   416.686.6170

MexicanarchwayHeather has always been irresistibly drawn to the glamour of theatre and art, but preferred to work behind the scenes designing the costumes and painting the backdrops. After all those drawings of lovely ladies in lavish gowns, she decided to go to Sheridan College in Brampton to study illustration. After her second year, she moved to Toronto to study at Ontario College of Art & Design where she added advertising, graphic design and fashion illustration to her repertoire.

She worked in advertising for a number of years from production artist and studio manager to art director before striking out on her own as a professional illustrator- which she has been for over 19 years. Heather is also a busy graphic designer these days who never stops taking courses. Most recently, e-courses from Lilla Rogers Studio School on illustration for surface pattern and art licensing. She loves that there is always so much to learn!

Her work has been described as distinctively elegant and whimsical and has appeared in a wide range of publications and print media world wide. She lives in Toronto with her son and partner, is slightly obsessed with anything Parisian and loves to watch thunderstorms by candlelight from her front porch.
